McNamee Lochner is proud to sponsor the Capital Region Sponsor‐A‐Scholar Financial Professionals Golf Open, an event designed for professional networking and charitable fundraising to support local economically disadvantaged young men and women and guide them toward high school graduation and college attendance. Capital Region Sponsor‐A‐Scholar inspires and empowers promising, underserved students to succeed in high school, college, and life.

As of 2017, the Capital Region Sponsor-A-Scholar program has supported more than 215 local students as they earned their college degrees, and they actively work with more than 120 current college students. Sixty eight percent of their Scholars earn a college degree within six years of their high school graduation, compared to the national average of 39.7% degree attainment for the same demographic.

The organization’s blend of personalized academic support, long-term mentoring, and financial assistance is what makes such an impact in these students’ lives; McNamee Lochner is honored to be part of this organization’s efforts.

About 1 in 8 women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime – a statistic that makes certain almost everyone has been touched by breast cancer in some way. As a firm, we’ve decided to make a difference by walking and raising money for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Albany Walk. The Albany event is one of nearly 300 held across the country. To further support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Albany, our firm will be sponsoring a water table at this year’s event.

Our donations will help more than 2.9 million breast cancer survivors celebrate another birthday this year!

Since 1993, more than 11 million walkers have raised more than $685 million – the Making Strides walks are the largest network of cancer awareness events in the nation.
