McNamee Lochner P.C. is pleased to announce that Mathew P. Barry (Banking), Jacob F. Lamme (Business Litigation), and Jeremy H. Speich (Business & Corporate Law) have been named to the 2017 Upstate New York Rising Stars list.

Mathew P. Barry is a member of the firm’s Banking, Real Estate and Business Litigation practice groups and was recently named a Rising Star in banking law.  Mr. Barry represents business owners and financial institutions in all facets of commercial lending and real estate transactions.  Mr. Barry routinely handles multi-lender and multi-million dollar financing transactions throughout New York State.

Jacob F. Lamme is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Land Use & Zoning practice groups, and was recently named a Rising Star in business litigation.  Mr. Lamme provides litigation and corporate counsel to local, statewide, national and international businesses in a variety of matters, including commercial litigation, labor and employment disputes, real property tax assessment challenges, and Article 78 proceedings.  Mr. Lamme practices in state and federal courts, and he also provides advice and counsel to clients seeking to avoid litigation.

Shareholder Jake Lamme serves on the Steering Committee for the Capital Region Chamber’s Leadership Tech Valley program.  Jake and his team organized Economic Development Day for the incoming class members for Leadership Tech Valley’s 2017 program.

As part of the program, class members were given toured the Port of Albany and the Mohawk Harbor Development in Schenectady, and met with business leaders throughout the Capital Region to discuss economic development in the Region, including: John Cococcia (Plug Power), Georgette Steffens (Downtown Albany BID), Andrew Kennedy (Center for Economic Growth), Phillip Morris (Proctors), Dave Buicko (Galesi Group), Carm Basile (CDTA) and others.

Economic Development Day is one program in a series of nine events that each Leadership Tech Valley class attends. The program is designed to help up and coming leaders explore issues and opportunities in the Capital Region.

McNamee Lochner is a proud member of the Honorary Committee for the 11th Annual Capital Region Coaches vs. Cancer Basket Ball, held on September 21 at the Franklin Plaza in Troy. The event is a fundraiser and a vehicle to raise awareness and promote treatment opportunities for cancer. The annual Basket Ball is run by and to benefit the American Cancer Society. Over the years it has raised more than $1.5 million by bringing in local Division I head coaches as featured speakers, while honoring a nationally known coach.

The thread that ties all of the nationally honored coaches together is that each has a personal story to tell about cancer. Each has been affected by the disease in some form – either their own personal journey, or through a familial experience.

Mathew P. Barry practices in the firm’s litigation and commercial lending groups with a focus on commercial litigation and real property disputes for businesses and individuals. Mr. Barry has been involved in numerous complex litigation cases and he is an experienced trial attorney in the state and federal courts in both New York and Massachusetts.

April M. Dalbec is a member the of firm’s matrimonial, family law, personal injury, and criminal defense practice groups. Ms. Dalbec is an experienced civil and criminal litigator who litigates in both state and federal matters. She has extensive trial and litigation experience, including high profile criminal matters, and has handled successful civil matters resulting in multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for her clients.

McNamee Lochner P.C.. announced today that Shareholders Mathew P. Barry, April M. Dalbec and Jeremy H. Speich have been listed as 2014 Upstate New York Rising Stars by Super Lawyers® magazine.

The Rising Star list is comprised of no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state, under age 40 or practicing law for 10 years or less, who have displayed excellence in their field of law. Mr. Barry was recognized in the Business Litigation practice area, Ms. Dalbec in Family Law, and Mr. Speich for Corporate & Business Law.
