McNamee Lochner P.C., located in Albany and serving clients both in the Capital Region and across the state, announced today the addition of Richard P. Walsh, Jr. and Paul E. Davenport as Of Counsel, formerly partners at Lombardi, Walsh, Davenport and Amodeo. The recent hires expand, strengthen, and diversify the capabilities of the firm’s litigation and labor practice.
“The experience Mr. Walsh and Mr. Davenport can offer our clients is unmatched – having appeared in front of the Supreme Court and National Labor Relations Board, and influenced labor law decisions in both the Court of Appeals and Second Circuit Court of Appeals,” said Scott A. Barbour, co-managing principal of McNamee Lochner P.C. “We are excited to welcome them aboard as we continue to develop the breadth of services our team is able to offer corporate and individual clients.”
Richard P. Walsh, Jr. represents public and private sector clients in all aspects of labor and employment law. He has argued various precedent-setting Labor Law Decisions in both the Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, including many of the early decisions establishing the Taylor Law. For the last 12 years, he has been rated a “Super Lawyer” by his peers in the field of Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Walsh’s experience also includes the handling of complex labor and employment litigation as well as age, disability, and sexual discrimination litigation. For the last 20 years Walsh has devoted much of his practice to personal injury and Business Tort litigation.
“The quality of representation offered by McNamee Lochner has set the bar for the industry, and after years of running our own shop, I look forward to joining forces with this team and strengthening their efforts to continue providing top-notch services to the firm’s diverse client base,” said Walsh.
Paul E. Davenport joins McNamee Lochner P.C. with more than 29 years of experience in the fields of litigation and labor. He has served as general outside legal counsel to numerous contractors, subcontractors, owners and developers, and small-and medium-sized businesses, and has also provided counsel on Labor and Employment matters to both public sector and private sector clients. Mr. Davenport has extensive experience in both jury and non-jury trials, and in litigating disputes in mediation and arbitration forums. He has served as the elected Town Justice for the Town of Glenville since 2008, and as a volunteer Fee Dispute Arbitrator for the 4th Judicial District.
“It is an honor to join McNamee Lochner P.C., said Davenport, who has been practicing since 1991. “After decades of building my own client base – I look forward to continuing to serve my existing clients and expanding my practice to assist clients in the already successful and diverse practice areas offered at McNamee Lochner.”
