McNamee Lochner is pleased to announce that shareholder Michelle L. Haskin has been selected by the New York State Bar Association to receive the 2015 Award for Attorney Professionalism at its Annual Meeting, January 31, 2015.

“We congratulate Michelle on her recognition for outstanding professionalism and dedication of service to her clients,” said co-managing partner Richard D. Cirincione.

The Award for Attorney Professionalism, presented by The Committee on Attorney Professionalism, honors attorneys for outstanding professionalism, which is defined as dedication to service to clients and a commitment to promoting respect for the legal system in pursuit of justice and the public good, characterized by exemplary ethical conduct, competence, good judgment, integrity and civility. Each year, only one attorney out of the NYSBA’s 50,000+ members is recognized with this prestigious award.

Amy S. O’Connor, a shareholder with the law firm of McNamee Lochner P.C., has been named as Chair of the Firm’s Trusts, Estates and Elder Law Practice Group.

She succeeds the former Chair, Richard D. Cirincione, who along with Scott A. Barbour, became Managing Principal of the firm on January 1, 2015. Mr. Cirincione will continue to practice in the Trusts, Estates and Elder Law Practice Group with Ms. O’Connor and the department’s other attorneys, Timothy B. Thornton, William S. Haase, Harry P. Meislahn, Jacob F. Lamme and Michael A. Colton.

Ms. O’Connor’s practice encompasses all aspects of estate planning, estate administration, trusts, guardianships, and elder law, with a focus on assisting elderly clients and their families with legal and tax issues, including estate tax planning, preservation of assets, long-term care planning, and eligibility for governmental benefits.
