Larry regularly represents heavy highway, building, and mechanical trade contractors, as well as public owners in construction contract related matters such as drafting and negotiation, disputes, arbitrations, trials and appeals. Additionally, he represents corporate and public owners in construction contract law and litigation across both federal and state court.

Laurence I. Fox joined the firm as a principal in 2017. Through his practice he represents heavy highway, building, utility, environmental and trade contractors, public and private owners, such as municipalities and authorities, developers, engineers and architects in handling contract drafting and negotiation, contract administration, bidding issues, surety matters, disputes, claims, administrative reviews, settlements, arbitrations, trials and appeals. Larry represents clients in Federal and State courts, at the trial and appellate levels, mediations and arbitrations pursuant to the rules of American Arbitration Association and others. Practice is 90% construction contract law. 

Prior to joining the firm, Larry spent eight years as an Assistant Attorney General in the Contract Litigation Unit of the New York State Department of Law handling matters related to public contract bidding, contract and statutory interpretation, administrative hearings, claims negotiation and settlement, breach of contract suits and architectural malpractice matters.  He entered private practice as a partner in the Albany firm of Delucia and Fox and later founded his own firm that evolved into the Clifton Park firm of Fox and Kowalewski, LLP.

Through his practice, Larry has handled all aspects of dispute resolution including litigation pleadings, discovery, preparation and trial of claims and suits, mediations and arbitrations in amounts up to and including the multi-million dollar range.

He has had extensive experience resolving disputes involving projects for the construction of highways, bridges, landfills, buildings, airports, underground, site development water and sewer plants and transportation.

He is admitted to the New York State bar and all its Federal District Courts and is a member of the American Arbitration Association panel of neutrals.  He is also a member of the New York State, American and Saratoga County Bar Associations and has served as a member of the board of directors of the Associated General Contractors, New York Chapter.
