Land Use and Energy Law
We are active in all areas of environmental law. Our practice concentrates
on environmental permitting and enforcement, citizen suits, regulatory
affairs and hazardous waste relating to state and federal Superfund
matters, and land use planning.
Our environmental practice also includes compliance auditing and
advice regarding commercial and residential real estate transactions and financing, and environmental aspects of business
transactions. We take pride in creative, cost-effective risk management
in this complex area which includes brownfields development and
cost recovery strategies.
Our work includes permitting and compliance advice under all
state and federal regulatory programs, municipal environmental matters,
and general litigation and advice related to environmental liability,
land use activities, zoning and compliance with the New York State
Environmental Quality Review Act. We keep
our knowledge current in this rapidly changing field and are able
to provide advice regarding new compliance requirements and trends.
We are also experienced in energy regulation, permitting, contracting
and litigation, particularly on behalf of industrial clients. This
is an important and dynamic area as New York continues to restructure
utility laws.
