Mr. Williams joined the firm in 1946, and has been of counsel since 1993. He is a past President of the firm. Mr. Williams received a J.D. degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1946 and an honorary degree from that school in 1989. He received a B.A. degree from Colgate University in 1939, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Williams has long been active in the New York State Bar Association serving as Chairman of the Banking, Corporation and Business Law Section from 1973 to 1974, Vice President from 1976 to 1979, and President of the Association from 1981 to 1982.
Mr. Williams' practice is focused on general corporate and estates and trusts law. In addition, he practices in the areas of corporate formation and on going business relationships. He is experienced in counseling clients in estate planning and in the preparation of wills and trusts.
