Mr. Massaroni is a trial attorney with experience in many substantive areas, including personal injury litigation, commercial matters, and employment litigation. Mr. Massaroni has been chosen by many national corporations to handle their self-insured personal injury defense cases in Upstate New York. He has experience in product liability cases, general negligence actions, professional negligence cases, and mass tort actions. Mr. Massaroni also has broad experience in general commercial litigation, including contract disputes, cases involving intellectual property and claims of unfair competition, construction litigation, the litigation of shareholder suits, and disputes concerning the management of closely-held corporations.
Mr. Massaroni is a contributing author to Personal Injury Defense Techniques (Matthew Bender 1987). He serves as counsel to the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce's Business Services Corporation and he is an occasional lecturer on trial techniques at continuing legal education seminars sponsored by the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Massaroni joined the firm as a principal in 2003. Mr. Massaroni is a graduate of Union College (summa cum laude) (1979), and Cornell Law School (1982), where he served as Articles Editor of the Cornell International Law Journal. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Massaroni practiced for 19 years with the Albany law firm of DeGraff, Foy, Holt-Harris, Kunz & Devine, LLP. Before entering private practice, Mr. Massaroni served as Law Clerk to the Hon. John A. Mackenzie, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
