Mr. Connolly joined the firm in 1966, has been a principal since 1970 and assumed the position as "Of Counsel" as of January 1, 2005. Mr. Connolly received a LL.B degree from Yale University in 1961 and a B.A. degree from Williams College in 1958. Mr. Connolly has been active in various capacities of the New York Bar Association for many years and has been a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs. He was Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association from 1988 to 1995, and is a Fellow of the New York State Bar Foundation. Mr. Connolly also was Chairman of the Association's Real Property Law Section in 1978-1979. He was the 2001 President of the Albany County Bar Association and served as a director of the Association from 1992 to 2001. Mr. Connolly is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and National Association of Bond Lawyers. He is a director of Financial Institutions, Inc. and was president of Bal Harbour Chateaux Condominium Association, Inc. in 2005 and 2006.
Mr. Connolly represents financial service institutions and corporations in commercial transactions and litigation and is counsel to and Assistant Director of the Town of Bethlehem Industrial Development Agency. His practice also includes all aspects of real property law and litigation, including lease disputes, assessment challenges and mortgage foreclosures. Mr. Connolly is also admitted to practice law in Connecticut, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
