Trusts, Estates, & Elder Law

Lives and relationships are complex. The McNamee Law Firm provides specialized estate planning, tax and personal financial planning services, and handles the administration of estates and trusts.

The estate planning practice focuses on tax reduction strategies in preparing wills and trusts and documents which address elder law concerns, as well as personal issues confronting clients in structuring their estate plans.

Transferring gifts and transmitting wealth for families and family foundations may be desirable. We have substantial experience in organizing and advising public charities and private foundations, and in creating complex trusts as part of charitable giving programs. We also have a strong background in creating family limited partnerships and limited liability companies as part of an overall estate plan for transmission of wealth, ownership, and control of family-owned businesses. In order to provide services economically, our trusts and estates group makes extensive use of specialized paralegals and advanced computer programs in the estate planning and administration areas.

This department is also capable of handling all aspects of estate and trust litigation, from simple will contests to complex contested accounting proceedings. Some of our attorneys are also certified public accountants and some have advanced tax degrees.

With several attorneys admitted in the State of Florida, we also are capable of handling estate and trust planning and administration matters in that state as well as in most states neighboring New York. We work closely with the litigation, business, tax, corporate and environmental departments when necessary to ensure that we properly address all aspects of our clients’ situations.
