Kenneth L. Gellhaus joined the firm in 1988 and has been a principal since 1995. He practices in the areas of commercial litigation; consumer regulatory compliance and FDPCA-TILA defense litigation; landlord/tenant, insurance subrogation and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Gellhaus represents businesses in all phases of debt collection, from prejudgment attachments and actions to recover equipment and personal property to the enforcement of commercial money judgments through property executions, installment payment orders and post-judgment proceedings. He also represents national banks in litigating commercial banking fraud. He has commercial trial experience in the Capital Region and in New York City.
He was admitted to practice in New York in 1987. Mr. Gellhaus also is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts of New York for the Northern District (1987), the Western District (1993) and Southern and Eastern Districts (1995), as well as the United States Bankruptcy Courts of those same districts.
Mr. Gellhaus is fluent in French and has conversational facility in Spanish. He is also a British history buff and professional magician.
