Overview
of The McNamee Law Firm
McNamee, Lochner, Titus & Williams, P.C. is a full service law
firm located in Albany, New York. Founded in 1863, we are one of
the Capital Region's oldest and largest law firms. Over the years,
many of our members have served as leaders in business, government
and professional associations. We have developed a broad, state-wide
practice reflecting a diverse clientele with concentrations in many
areas of law including: civil litigation, banking, consumer financial
services, business, federal and state taxation, family law, government relations, appellate law, real estate,
estate planning, environmental law, labor and employment law, energy
law, construction law and municipal finance.
The McNamee Law Firm
With forty attorneys and a large support staff, we possess the
depth and diversity to deliver proficient advice, provide representation
across a broad range of practice areas, support business decisions,
and formulate effective and creative solutions to legal problems.
Our size and experience provide the resources and capability to
handle substantial cases and transactions promptly and effectively.
We also provide economical service by making appropriate use of
our associates and specialized paralegals. At the McNamee Law Firm,
we are dedicated to client service, having adopted the fundamental
principles of Total Quality Management throughout our Firm. This
process requires constant vigilance and periodic solicitation of
anonymous evaluations by our client base.
Our practice is organized into various departments including: litigation,
corporate, commercial, trusts and estates, family law, environmental
law, appellate law, and collections. Each of our practice groups includes experienced
trial lawyers who can handle disputes throughout the state for local,
regional and national clients. Our corporate, real estate, and estates
and trusts departments provide legal counsel in transactional, compliance
and planning matters. Our regular clients include some of New York's
largest banks, businesses and institutions, as well as many national
companies.
In managing a financial transaction or a business dispute on behalf
of a client, we work to ensure that the client receives the attention
of specialists who will provide sound and candid advice. Additionally,
we communicate and consult regularly, pursuing the client's interests
within the bounds of their objectives.
All substantial matters handled by our associates are supervised
by partners. Although our practice generally reflects the needs
of our clientele, we refer highly specialized matters to other counsel
when appropriate. All of our attorneys are required to participate
in continuing legal education in their practice areas. Many attorneys
in the McNamee Law Firm design courses and teach other lawyers in
these programs statewide. Our associates and partners are also well
known for their involvement in professional associations. This keeps
us abreast of the latest legal developments.
Our
Support and Management Team
Our day to day operations are handled by a full time business manager
under the direct supervision of a managing principal. We have an
extensive in-house library and employ a full time, professional
law librarian. We are on-line with a firm-wide network maintained
by a systems manager utilizing expanded technological "platforms."
This sophisticated network allows us to transfer documents and communicate
among ourselves and with clients electronically, saving money and
speeding delivery of important documents.
Billing
According to Your Needs
Our billing structure is historically based on time and actual
expenses. When appropriate, we are able to set task-based fees or
cap the cost of a project. We provide hourly rates for each attorney
upon request and offer computerized billing to our clients with
an itemized description of each service provided and the time expended.
We can bill monthly or quarterly as work progresses or according
to our client's needs.
The McNamee Law Firm employs a number of cost control measures
that allow us to provide our services economically, including the
use of skilled paralegals when appropriate. We offer a number of
creative alternative retainer and billing arrangements with regular
clients to keep costs low, increase communication and enhance our
client relationship.
